Seven couples were recommended to move forward in the church planting process at Converge’s Church Planting Assessment Center in Puyallup, Washington. The total included three couples who were fully recommended to move forward and four recommended to move forward after meeting specific conditions.

In all, 10 couples completed the Church Planting Assessment Center on August 20, nine of whom were assessed as potential Converge church planting couples. The total included one couple recommended to continue on a ministry track as part of a church planting or multiplication team and one not recommended to continue in the process. In addition, a non-Converge couple received a conditional recommendation to plant with its sending agency.

Converge’s assessment process is nationally known and highly trusted. The Church Planting Assessment Center helps potential church planters discern their calling, ministry fit and leadership capacity as a church planter.

Converge is committed to starting missionally minded churches until every people group and community has heard the gospel. Our 10 districts across the United States have committed to planting 312 churches before 2026 so more people can meet, know and follow Jesus.
