Converge International Ministries is asking God for a gospel movement among every least-reached people group ― in our generation ― and God is answering. Five missionary appointees were commissioned during our July 13-15 Launch training in Orlando, Florida. The three-day event helped equip and empower these global workers to build their ministry partnership teams.

The appointees formed a diverse group, both ethnically and in ministry. They have European, Mexican and African heritage and are preparing to reach the world’s least-reached people by sharing the gospel through media, empowering the church in Asia for gospel movements and reaching the Deaf with the gospel.

Meet our new appointees:

  • Jose “Joey” Briseno, First Japanese Baptist Church, Fort Worth, Texas; Japan Initiative
  • Brandon Gaskin, Silent Friends Church, Arlington, Texas; Deaf Catalyst Team, U.S.-based
  • Andrea Kidder, Resurrection City Church (Converge North Central), St. Paul, Minnesota; Thailand Initiative
  • David Stott, Barrington Baptist Church, Barrington, Rhode Island; regional business administrator for Converge Europe/Mediterranean & Africa regions, U.S.-based
  • Tammy Weiner, Bethany Community Church (Converge MidAtlantic), Odenton, Maryland; Deaf Catalyst Team, U.S.-based

It takes many people to launch a global worker into the mission field: family, churches, partners and Converge. This orientation and training is the first step as appointees move toward deployment.
