Converge International Ministries is asking God for a gospel movement among every least-reached people group—in our generation, and God is answering. He is raising up new global workers to go out into the harvest. God is beginning to mobilize the whole church to reach the nations.
The five missionary appointees commissioned during our May 12-14 Launch in Orlando, Florida, are from diverse backgrounds and will be serving the least reached in the United States and abroad.

The three-day event helped prepare and empower these global workers to build their ministry partnership teams.
Meet our new appointees:
- S. Ibrahim, Faith Assembly of God, Orlando, Florida; Europe/Mediterranean Impact Team, U.S.-based
- Yana Osipenko, Sozo Communities, Penndel, Pennsylvania, Converge MidAtlantic; 15:5 West Initiative, Poland
- Sergiu and Vica M., Revival Baptist Church, Clermont, Florida; Moldova
- Brett Yazzie, Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, Chandler, Arizona, Converge Southwest; Ministry to the Navajo, U.S.-based
It takes many people to launch a global worker into the mission field: family, churches, partners and Converge. This orientation and training is the first step as appointees move toward deployment. We also want to celebrate those who have successfully walked through the Ministry Partnership Development process and recently deployed to their fields of service.
- Dustin and Melissa Leland have deployed to Thailand. After language school, Dustin and Melissa will be part of the leadership training center in Udon Thani. They want to see churches planted by equipping, training and sending out Thai disciple-makers.
- Drew, Jane and their four children have deployed to the Spice Islands to serve as initiative leaders. The Spice Islands are in an area of the world where the name of Jesus is not widely known and where 234 unique people groups are still unreached with the gospel.
- John and Kathie Pederson serve on the From Scattered to Gathered Initiative. Based in Minnesota, they lead the Kingdom Practicum project, a six-month intensive cross-cultural training program.
