Converge welcomed 10 students from Liberty University to its Missionary Discovery & Assessment in Orlando, Florida, June 17-24, 2023. This group included graduate counseling students from across the United States. The students walked through the entire vetting and assessment process to learn more about Converge International Ministries, the assessment process for missionaries, and for personal growth spiritually and emotionally. Many students expressed a desire to provide member care to missionaries in the future as a part of their counseling practice.

Missionary Discovery & Assessment is a Sprit-led time for candidates to discover more about God, themselves, others and their call to ministry. During the three and half days, Converge assessors evaluated the students for spiritual, emotional and relational health and suitability for serving cross-culturally worldwide.

·  Seven (7) students received a “Go,” which means they are ready to serve in cross-cultural ministry with some recommended preparation.

·  One (1) student received a “Prepare,” which means they need to engage in long-term preparations before serving cross-culturally.

·  Two (2) students received a “Stay”. The students were given some extensive next-steps and an open door to come back through the assessment process once the recommended actions were completed.

We are asking God for a gospel movement among every least reached people group ― in our generation. To see God accomplish this vision, we are preparing to deploy more than 350 global workers over the next five years. Learn how you can play a part in reaching people across the street and around the world with the gospel.
