Christmas baptisms

The Christmas season is centered around a celebration of a birth, the greatest birth in history, God became man and dwelt among us. What a perfect time to celebrate the rebirth of God’s children. This Christmas, our Converge International Workers and their partner church in the Middle East had the joy of baptizing five new believers, all from the majority religious background.

Five people, who despite great odds, including threats of persecution and death, stood before a small gathering of believers and proclaimed their faith in Jesus, the Son of God, the Savior of the World. “This was the happiest day of my life,” said one woman who was baptized alongside her husband. Another spoke of the peace and joy that filled his heart that night as he stood for this newfound faith in which he had become convinced was the truth. 

In Converge International Ministries we are asking God for a gospel movement among every least-reached people group in our generation. These five baptisms are the first steps in seeing that goal come to fruition in the Middle East. Join us as we share the hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with those who have never heard the truth about the one and only Son of God, born of a virgin, sinless, crucified but risen savior.
