While I never thought I would be going into overseas missions, the Lord has called me to go to England to serve alongside a good friend and mentor. It was while I was in seminary that I grew in my love for the local church, and it is my desire to take what I have learned and help raise up local leaders whom God can use to sustain the life of the church. I was always interested in education, but when I realized, through the help of the Spirit, that I was getting an education for my own glory, my heart shifted towards teaching others. I found that joy in seminary where I was taught how to read the Bible in light of God's plan of redemption. It is now my hope to teach others the same so that they can more clearly see the glories of God in Christ each time they open his Word.

But education and knowledge are not the only things that matter in a life of faith. While these things are important, it is ultimately trust in the saving work of Christ that will sustain any believer. My true goal and desire is to lead others into such a grasp of God's mercy that they can do nothing but fall on their knees in worship of the God who saves. As one of my professors so often prayed. That we would see Christ more clearly, follow him more nearly, and love him more dearly. Amen.
