Church plant funding

Funding strategies and coaching to help you raise support and grow a healthy church.

Helping you fund a healthy church plant

The thought of raising funds is one of the biggest roadblocks preventing potential church planters from experiencing what God has called them to do. We believe if God calls you, he will provide.

The best practice is for your church to be fully resourced before it launches. This allows the church and you to devote all of your time and energy toward growing a healthy church that is helping people meet, know and follow Jesus. Funding for specific church planting projects usually comes from four sources:

  • Parent or partnering churches
  • LEAD Team networks
  • Church planter's personal network of donors
  • Seed money from your Converge district

When you begin the process of planting your church with Converge, you will receive a detailed package that outlines your salary, housing, retirement and health insurance. You'll also be assigned a fundraising coach who will help you develop a personalized approach to raising support funds.

Converge church planters have access to

  • Personalized support raising coaching
  • Financial resources and church planting grants
  • Loan fund for construction or building purchases
  • Health insurance
  • Housing allowance benefit
  • Pastor retirement fund

Being a part of Converge has been a huge resource in regard to systems, coaching, support and helping me grow and mature as a church planter.
