Story
In her mid -20s, as Tania grew in her love for the Lord and her knowledge of him, she discovered his heart for missions. At first, Tania journeyed with her church, First Baptist Church of Glenarden, to Ukraine on short-term trips, but with time God revealed his will for her to serve there long term. She has been actively involved in ministry in Ukraine for over nine years.
The ministry opportunities have changed over the years, from teaching English weekly to now hosting a camp once or twice per year with teams from America; from serving in the local orphanage and ministering at orphans' camp to helping the leaders of the ministry to orphans develop a vision for the future; from youth ministry to teens to focused discipleship of the young women for that ministry. In this new season of ministry, the vision to disciple women will be accomplished on two levels:
- Women's ministry in the local church, which includes discipleship, prayer breakfasts, retreats, seminars and outreach to women in need.
- Leading a new department in the regional Bible college — Developing the Potential of Women for Ministry — for women who want to know God more and grow in the vision, passion and abilities in ministry through the local church.
God has shifted the ministry to be more strategic in its impact on women and their influence in the local church.
